Terms of Use

The short version: this is a free classroom lesson. Use it, learn from it, be honest about your work, and don't misuse it.

• What this is. For the Birds is an educational lab for students and teachers. It is provided as-is, with no warranty.
• Accounts. Students sign up with a name and PIN. Use your own name, keep your PIN private, and don't sign in as anyone else. Teachers are responsible for the accounts in their class.
• Your work. Responses you write are yours. Submitting copied or generated text as your own may be flagged and graded accordingly.
• Acceptable use. Don't attempt to access other students' records, overload the service, or use it for anything unrelated to the lesson.
• Changes. We may update the site or these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
